Yeah, it's time for Christmas decorating!

Another year, another turkey and I'm already looking forward to Christmas. We've got our tree up and the lights are on it already. Tomorrow we start adding the ornaments.

A friend of mine, another photographer, shot our Christmas card photo, I'm very happy with it! I think he did a great job! Thanks Jared.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Dallas Arboretum

Another great photoshoot! My friends are getting married next year and as an engagement gift, I offered to shoot their engagement photos for them and I was so honored they took me up on it. We spent a chilly day at the Dallas Arboretum rushing around to our favorite backdrops trying to get as much in our hour as we could. If I could have stayed past closing time without getting kicked out I would have - 1 hour is just not enough at that location. It's too pretty!
Below are my favorite images from that shoot!
I can't wait for their wedding!

Paradise Cove

Shae & Chris are a very sweet couple getting married in South Lake next spring. We met at Paradise Cove to shoot their engagement photos in October and below are some of my favorite shots. They were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to shooting their wedding next year!

Back in the swing of things!

I'm finally starting to think seriously about the 2009 booking season again and look forward to getting back to work!
Our daughter is a fantastic addition to our lives and we finally have a good schedule which enables me to get back to photography again. I'm going to start scheduling meetings on the weekends through the end of the year, so if you're interested in a booking, give me a call!

2008 Season

April has almost come and gone and the wedding season is in full swing. As some of you might have known, we added a new member to the Anderson household earlier this month. Our little girl arrived happy and healthy and our lives have totally changed for the better!

Something else that has changed this year is my availability for new clients. I'm not currently taking on any new business unless it's for the 2009 season, and any meetings to discuss my work or to see additional samples can only be conducted on the weekends.

I want to thank everyone for their understanding in this year's temporary change and I look forward to working with you next year. For those clients with whom I've already contracted, I'm still looking forward to working with you.

Many thanks to everyone and here's a little photo of our sweet angel.

Autumn Engagement Session

Around mid-November I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer and Brandon shooting their engagement photos. We shot at Legacy Town Center in Plano, a more urban setting than I normally use for engagements. It turned out to be a great location in which to shoot and we had a wonderful time.

The water turned out to be a great backdrop for some silhouette photos I shot of the two of them. That series is actually among my favorites from the day and retouching them was even more fun for me.

Another set I found really gorgeous were the ones we shot in front of an ivy covered wall. I spotted it after shooting near the water and really loved how those photos turned out. What's interesting is no matter how many times I visit a shoot location, I always find a different way to use the landscape or a new spot to use as a backdrop. It makes shooting in the same locations fun for me and my clients.
